Oh, Lovely Virginia

Yes, we are alive. Shocking, I know. And as I suspected, I'm terrible at keeping up with this whole blogging thing. But here's a little recap of what we've been up to this summer. In May, we had the wonderful opportunity of taking a little trip up to the D.C. temple. It is a beautiful temple and it was so nice to be able to take a break from our normal day-to-day activities to go and be together and feel the Spirit.

In June, I was able to take a trip to Washington to visit my family. Poor Andy had to stay in Virginia because of work. It was a lot of fun to see my family and go to my little brother's high school graduation. After all of the fun-filled, graduation festivities, my mom, Taylor, Hannah, Eli and I took a trip to Utah to drop Taylor off at BYU for the summer session of school.

From Utah, we drove down to California for my friend, Nicole's, wedding. We've known each other for as long as I can remember and it was so much fun to be at her wedding. It was a gorgeous wedding and Nicole and Tony make a beautiful couple! Congratulations guys!

When I got back from my trip to Washington, Andy surprised me with tickets to a Michael Buble concert. It was sooo good! I was surprised how funny he is, he's definitely worth seeing live.

Earlier this month, we also enjoyed a lovely weekend in Virginia beach. The weather was perfect and it was nice to get away and relax for a couple days.

Our most recent adventure was a trip to Washington D.C. to see the sights. It was neat to learn about the history of our culture and to see our nation's capitol. Andy, being the history buff that he is, loves learning about the history of our country. It's so amazing to live in a country where we can enjoy the freedom that we've been blessed with.

And on our way home, we drove behind a bus that said "Winn" :)

We've enjoyed our time out in Virginia, even though it is as hot as death here. But it has definitely been an adventure and in a couple weeks we'll be heading out on anther adventure as we head back across the country!
